Burleigh Dodds Science Publishing (www.bdspublishing.com) is a new “climate smart” publisher. We are building a database of review chapters, each written by a leading expert, which systematically covers the major crop varieties and, at the same time, each step in the value chain for their production, from breeding through to harvest. We are soon to publish two new books on grain legumes: |
Both volumes, edited by Dr Shoba Sivasankar (Director of both the CGIAR Research Program on Grain Legumes and the Research Program on Dryland Cereals, based at ICRISAT in India) are due to publish this November. This major two-collection reviews the wealth of recent research on improving cultivation of this major crop. The first volume ranges from plant physiology and breeding through to better cultivation techniques. Volume two focusses on improving the cultivation of particular grain legumes, starting with common beans, chickpeas, lentils, soybeans and groundnuts. A second group of chapters discusses cowpea, faba beans and pigeonpea.
